Aug. 08, 2001 - Voiceware announces today it had contracted with SK C&C, a leading SI company, to supply VoiceEz 2.0, Speech Recognition engine for the traffic information service through wire and wireless phones.
Callers can refer the traffic information by simply saying a destination and a departure through their mobile phones or hands frees in cars. SK C&C expects to save costs to maintain live agents by applying speech recognition to call center. .
It is the first phase that SK C&C deploys as SK Corporation’s Traffic Portal Service which will provide information such as news, stock, traffic and reservation and so on, to drivers.
Voiceware is currently participating in the Korean Telematics Consortium that Nextech, auto maintenance and information service provider has taken the lead, with other 13 companies such as auto-pc developers, telecommunication and mobile information service providers including Korea Telecom Freetel(KTF), Korea Telecom Hitel, Telson and Microsoft Korea.
