June 13, 2001 - Voiceware has received KT (Excellent Korean Technology) Mark for VoiceText, high quality TTS engine from Korea Industrial Technology Association (KITA) under Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). By receiving this Voiceware succeeded to possess all KT Marks given to speech technology exclusively.
Voiceware received KT Mark for Speech Recognition technology in 1999 and for Voice Browsing Technology in last March. KT Marks awarded to only one company for a specific technology. It means the awarded technologies are best in their parts for 2~3 years for which it is good.
The award is given to the technology that has competitiveness and far-reaching effects, and ability to develop an overseas market. The company that receives the KT mark can enhance technological confidence by attaching KT Mark on its products. The company also is supported in financing. Voiceware is supposed to place it on a firm base as a Korean speech technology market leader.
The conferment ceremony held in the presence of the Minister of Science and Technology and about 200 persons concerned at Seoul Information Technology Center on June 13th.
